How much does Adult Education cost?


Your local Adult Education program is supported in various ways including federal funding,  state funding,  local property taxes,  agency/grant support of students,  and student-paid tuition. 


If you are looking to earn your HiSET or high school diploma, or need help with basic literacy skills, it costs $0 if you are a Maine resident. There is a fee of $100 for HiSET testing for out-of-state residents.


Other class/program fees vary and need to be checked through the Adult Education Office or through our Courses tab on this portal site.
